Description
I completed this drawing in art class, when assigned to create a 3 point perspective drawing. My instructor later theorized that this piece represented cancer - the invasion of the body, the castle being taken over by uncontrolled growth of the trees. So this is how my art therapy journey began. He didn't know that I had been previously diagnosed with invasive melanoma. This was many years ago and I survived, but I was quite surprised by his analysis. It was totally subconscious on my part. I have since taken graduate level classes in Art Therapy - but not to analyze it - that takes a specialized degree.

You have the most remarkable talent - I just peeked at your portfolio and now I can't wait to get back to it. Brilliant work. This piece is just amazing - provocative and beautifully detailed. F/L

Melodye, just an amazing drawing, the range of tones are gorgeous, so original, just love, love the tree root that are taking over the fairytale castle . Fantastic work
